The Hercules DJ Control Instinct For iPad is a 2-channel USB DJ software controller for iPad, Mac, or PC computers. In between the decks is a 2-channel mixer with level, crossfader, and 3 band EQ controls. An internal soundcard features both RCA and 1/8" (3.5 mm) mini-jack main speaker outputs for connecting to a PA, as well as a separate 1/8" (3.5 mm) mini-jack headphone output for monitoring and track cuing.
The unit features a pair of rubberized jog wheels for scratching, cueing, and nudging as well as a set of buttons for navigating, selecting, and loading tracks from your library. Pitch bend switches allow you to adjust the pitch in real time, and a loop/effect/sample bank of four buttons per side allows you to remix your tracks in real time.
The unit comes with the Hercules DJuced DJ software that allows you to mix tracks manually, mix tracks automatically, manipulate tracks using a step sequencer, and record mixes so they can be uploaded and shared online. Additional features include backlit controls, hot cue points, and an attached USB cable that provides power and is impossible to lose.
