The RocketStor 6424TS 3RU 16-Bay Turbo RAID Class Rackmount Enclosure from HighPoint is a professional-grade, high-performance RAID solution designed for Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. It is well suited for applications that require reliable and high-performance RAID storage. The 6424TS supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50, and JBOD. It uses a RocketRAID 2722 RAID controller, which is equipped with 4 x Mini-SAS ports and an eight-lane PCIe 2.0 x8 host bus interface. This rackmount enclosure is designed to help protect and maintain RAID configurations in high-stress environments and also help ensure that data remains online, even in the case of a hardware failure.
The 6424TS has a 3RU rackmount form factor and 16 drive bays that support 3.5" SATA and SAS drives. All the drive bays are hot-swappable, and they feature LEDs noting power and failure, which help report on the status of each drive. Cooling fans and front-to-rear ventilation also work to help keep ambient temperatures under control. The cooling fans are powered by dual 400W redundant power supplies, which operate using 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. The power supplies feature a modular design, allowing them to be easily removed and replaced.
The 6424TS also features a user-friendly RAID Storage Management Suite that is available for most major operating systems and includes BIOS-level management, a web-based RAID interface, and optional CLI packages for Linux and FreeBSD platforms. The web-based interface is also known as "WebGUI" and works with most modern browsers, allowing users of most experience levels to quickly and easily monitor, maintain, and configure RAID arrays and individual storage devices.
The RocketStor 6424TS includes a RocketRAID 2722 RAID controller, 16 x hard drive trays, 4 x Mini-SAS cables, 1 x power cord, 64 x hard drive mounting screws, and 2 x hard drive tray keys.
