The unit snaps onto the rods, so you don't have to slide it onto the rods from the ends. The kit allows you to use a large capacity professional battery to power your camera, and mount it on the rod supports of your cage, shoulder mount, or baseplate system. The kit includes a P-Tap cable and a separate adapter for the BMPCC camera's small power connector.
