The ION Audio Film 2 SD Plus Slide & Negative Scanner is a standalone film scanner able to digitize your 35mm negatives and slides with a high resolution 14-megapixel 1/2.33" CMOS sensor. This unit's capabilities can be further expanded to 110 and 126 format film with the use of optional adapters. Operation without a computer is facilitated by a large 2.4" color LCD screen where you can check the images and adjust the exposure by ±2 EV in 1/2 EV steps. Color and white balance is automatically determined and the scanner then outputs the JPEG file to an SD card.
While the Film 2 SD Plus is a standalone scanner, it does feature a USB 2.0 port for connecting to a computer. Also, there is a TV-out port for displaying images on a TV. For more control over images after scanning, Mediaimpressions image editing software is included.
