User manual for the Isonas Secondary Relay Module (1 Input/4 Outputs) ACC-SRM-4OSW
The user manual for the Isonas Secondary Relay Module (1 Input/4 Outputs) ACC-SRM-4OSW provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Surveillance - Access Control - Add-On Modules.
The Secondary Relay Module from ISONAS allows you to control two enclosure locks from a single PowerNet Reader-Controller. Alternatively, the SRM can be used to provide a second set of dry-contacts at the door location, allowing control of devices such as warning sirens, or providing the ability to restrict who is allowed to arm/disarm alarm panels.
Combining a Secondary Relay Module (SRM) with a PowerNet allows the user to selectively control a pair of doors. An example usage of the SRM is to control both the front and back doors of a computer rack. The PowerNet's integrated keypad is used to select the door that is to be opened. A user's credential is presented and validated, and then the selected door's fail-secure lock is activated. At any one time, only one door is unlocked. This allows the system to control access to both doors, and yet keep the system's overall power requirements to be that of a single door. This assures that Power Over Ethernet (PoE) can be used as the sole power source for most installations.
The SRM is an easy-to-install product. By using the Crystal Matrix ACS software suite and PowerNet reader-controllers, you can control thousands of computer racks, school lockers, and cabinets.
