The JAG35 DSLR Stand V2 lets you mount most DSLRs onto 15mm rails. The Canon 5D, 7D, 60D, and Rebel are all compatible. Nikon DSLRs and SONY DSLR-type cameras, as long as they are equipped with a 1/4" mounting thread, are also compatible, but with some limitations. The Stand's anti-twist locking pin will not match these cameras, and the center-of-lens to center-of-rods distance might end up beyond or below the standard of 85mm. The latter issue could interfere with using a matte box (but the D|Matte Complete matte box will work perfectly).
The Stand's top plate features pads for the camera to sit gently on. Underneath the plate is a knob that fastens the stand to the camera via 1/4-20 mounting screw. Levers on both the left and right sides securely fasten the stand to the rails. The build incorporates a smooth milled aluminum finish and chamfered edges that enable better handling.
