Designed with a SandForce SF2281 controller, the 180GB KC300 SSDNow SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD from Kingston features a 180GB storage capacity, allowing you to store a variety of files including movies, photos, music, and more. This SSD connects to your system's 2.5" / 7mm bay via the SATA III 6 Gb/s interface. With solid-state drive technology, you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional hard disk drive. Enhanced data read speeds of up to 525 MB/s and data write speeds of up to 500 MB/s allow you to access data stored within the drive quickly and efficiently. Additionally, this drive features 4K reads up to 85,000 IOPS, 4K writes up to 64,000 IOPS, random 4K reads up to 32,000 IOPS, and random 4K writes up to 56,000 IOPS (Input/Output Operations per Second).
Along with enhanced performance, you benefit from Enterprise SMART tools, which includes reliability tracking, usage statistics, life remaining, wear leveling, and temperature monitoring. Integrated DuraClass Technology is a set of NAND flash management features that work together to deliver enhanced SSD endurance, reliability, performance and power efficiency.
With DuraClass you benefit from a variety of features including DuraWrite and RAISE, along with advanced wear leveling. This drive also supports AES 256-bit encryption, TCG Opal 2.0, and IEEE 1667 to help further enhance the drive's security. The KC300 features a Physical Security ID (PSID) printed on the drive label which allows users to revert a managed drive back to the factory default. It is protected by a limited 3-year warranty with free technical support.
