The ROBEN-3TM Desktop Thunderbolt 2 to PCIe Expansion Chassis from Magma has space to house an Apple Mac mini and offers three PCI express expansion slots. This chassis allows you to expand the power of your Apple Mac mini by supporting full height and length PCI express cards. It supports the Mid 2011 and Late 2012 models of the Apple Mac mini and offers all the cables to extend the connections outside the case such as USB 3.0, RJ45 LAN, HDMI, FireWire, Thunderbolt 2, Audio in and out.
By offering PCI express slots that supports up to x16, you can add PCI cards such as video capture, audio, and more to your Apple Mac mini. These slots can also accept storage cards that support multiple SSDs that can be RAIDed for extra storage and faster access to your data. The chassis provides a 250 watt power supply with Molex, 6-pin +2 PCIe, and PCIe connectors to power the PCI cards. For cooling the components inside, the chassis installed an 80mm fan that is controlled by a variable speed thermistor control. Opening the aluminum chassis can be done without the need for tools and is rack-mountable with an optional kit. To keep your valuable plug-ins secure, Magma also offers an optional front panel USB iLok. Included with the ROBEN-3TM is a power cord cable.
