necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Computer Audio - Audio Interfaces & Systems.
The Metric Halo ULN-2 - FireWire Digital Audio Interface (with 2 Jensen Input Transformers + DSP) is a portable, FireWire based, multi-format studio recording audio converter and interface. Housed in a single space rack-mount chassis, the unit provides 12 inputs and 14 outputs of simultaneous I/O, while having the ability to be powered from the FireWire bus of a laptop computer, or from an appropriate DC power source. This version of the audio interface includes a modification wherein two Jensen input transformers have been added to the signal path to add low-order harmonic distortion which provides a depth and smoothness to the sound of your music. An additional benefit of the Jensen transformers is that they electronically isolate the preamplifier from the source which raises the common mode rejection of the device.
This version of the audio interface also includes the +DSP license which allows you to insert plugins such as multi-band EQs, compressors, limiters, distortion processors, guitar amp models, vintage reverbs, parallel processors, and more into the signal path within the v.5 software digital mixing console without taxing your host CPU.
