Designed for high-volume hands-free scanning, the DS457-SR Next-Generation Fixed Mount Imager from Motorola features a small footprint and the ability to scan medium-to-large 1D and 2D barcodes. The 752 x 480 grayscale imager can accept a variety of mounts for placement in a wide range of scenarios, such as under a counter to a register. The scanner can also read barcodes on mobile phone or computer displays as well as omni-directional scanning for versatility with a field of view of 39.6° horizontally and 25.7° vertically.
The DS457-SR utilizes a 624 MHz processor along with a fast sensor shutter speed and pulse illumination to improve speed and productivity. It also is IP54 sealed and can withstand multiple 30" drops to concrete. It can save images as BMP, TIFF, and JPG file formats and offers 9-pin D-sub, USB, and RS232 interfaces. Additionally, it supports the 123Scan² configuration tool.
