The MXL 800 Series Mic Collection is a B&H Kit that includes a diverse selection of professional condenser microphones suited to virtually any studio recording application. The 890 Critical Vocal is, as its name suggests, a large gold-diaphragm microphone for capturing detailed vocals. The 880 Vocal provides a mix of smoothness and clarity, also suitable for vocals.
The 870 Utility is a multi-purpose cardioid studio-condenser microphone, while the 860 Ribbon delivers a warm sound with a robust low end. Rounding out the set is a pair of small-diaphragm capsule microphones ideal for drum overheads, acoustic guitars, pianos and strings for capturing extra details. All the microphones include shockmounts.
