The user manual for the MXL MM-VE001 Mobile Media Videographer's Essentials Kit MM-VE001 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Mobile - Cell Phone Accessories - Grips & Support.
The MM-VE001 Mobile Media Videographer's Essentials Kit from MXL is comprised of the MM-CM001 Mobile Media Camera Bracket (for mounting a microphone and a mobile phone), the MXL FR-310 Shotgun Microphone, and an impedance-matching adapter cable.
The bracket accommodates a variety of mobile devices, including iPhones and Android phones. The two cold shoe mounts are designed for mounting the kit components: the microphone and an additional accessory. The shotgun microphone is used instead of the mobile phone's built in microphone to record the audio, thus providing improved sound quality.
The adapter cable connects to the phone via a 3.5mm male connector, to the microphone via a 3.5mm female connector, and to the headphones via a 3.5mm female audio connector. The MM-VE001 videographer's kit may also be used with a DSLR camera in lieu of the phone clamp.
