User manual for the Nagra LINO - Professional Handheld PCM/MP3 Recorder LINO
The user manual for the Nagra LINO - Professional Handheld PCM/MP3 Recorder LINO provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Recording - Portable Digital Recorders.
The LINO - Professional Handheld PCM/MP3 Recorder from Nagra is a portable SD card recorder, allowing storage up to 32GB or 16.5 hours of 24-bit/96kHz WAV audio. It can also record and playback MP3 files, allowing it to be used as a portable music player as well. The dual high-sensitivity mics enable quality audio capture with high dynamic range. The LINO will record for up to 10 hours on two AA batteries.
The Nagra LINO offers PCM WAV recording at resolutions from 16-bit/44.1kHz (CD quality) to 24-bit/96kHz, allowing you to record for virtually any kind of media. The switchable Automatic Gain Control option will continually monitor the input sound and adjust the recording level accordingly, so nothing is excessively quiet or loud. The Voice Operated Recording (VOR) feature works by a similar principle. When the input level becomes loud enough, it will begin recording; when the sound weakens to a certain level, it will stop. VOR is particularly good for capturing interviews concisely.
To guard against wind noise and rumble, the LINO has a switchable low cut filter, attenuating frequencies below 100Hz. To optimize playback, LINO uses Smart audio level control, which ensures that hot signals don't clip and can increase quiet signals by up to 12dB.
