User manual for the Night Optics Micro 2 336 Ultra-Compact Thermal Monocular
The user manual for the Night Optics Micro 2 336 Ultra-Compact Thermal Monocular provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Optics - Night & Thermal Vision - NV Monoculars & Multi-Systems.
Detect human invaders, wildlife, livestock, running combustion and jet engines, hot wires, infrared lasers and lamps, or other hidden heat sources with the Micro 2 336 Ultra-Compact Thermal Monocular from Night Optics. This ultra-compact thermal imager fits in the palm of your hand and brings to the table a number of useful features such as an uncooled vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer with resolution of 336x256 and a brilliant 600x800 AMOLED display. While the thermal imaging sensor does not require cooling and detects infrared light in the spectral range of 7.5-13.5µm, the electronics provide viewing capabilities through either the internal display with a refresh rate of 30 Hz, or to external recorder or screen in NTSC/PAL formats. The 20mm, f/1.0 germanium lens system offers a maximum field of view of 8 x 11° and a close focus distance of 26.2'. If you need a close-up on your target, the system allows for digital zoom of up to 4x. Additionally, the device features an image brightness control and an accelerometer for keeping displayed images upright regardless of actual orientation of monocular. Also noteworthy is a single calibration of the thermal core performed on start-up, which saves battery life and ensures quiet operation.
The housing is made of a lightweight and durable polymer and has a contoured shape with knurled adjusters and rings. To protect the germanium objective lens from dirt, scratches, and debris, the housing has a flip-out objective lens cup. With the wide, rubber eyecup you will have comfortable contact with the eyepiece and will not spill out any display light. The control buttons are arranged in a staggered configuration for an easy reach and one-handed operation with either hand for handheld operation. With the included adapter you can also mount the device to your choice of weapons or headgear.
