The Nipros PS-470P-PAC Optical Fiber Shoulder Camera Adapter & Base Station Package with Panasonic & LANC Remote Connectors is an optical fiber system for professional Panasonic shoulder mount cameras. Featuring the PS-470P Optical Fiber Camera Adapter and PS-570P Optical Fiber Base Station, the system transfers HD/SD-SDI input and return signals, as well as Tally, Time Code, intercom, and other essential camera signals, between your camera and the Base Station up to 1.24 miles using a hybrid optical/electrical fiber cable.
The PS-470P Camera Adapter mounts directly to the back of your shoulder mounted camera via a V-Mount terminal. A variety of connections are available, including HD/SD-SDI input and return component and composite video, genlock output, and time code input/output. Additionally, there are 10-pin Panasonic and LANC remote controls ports, whose signals are also transferred to the PS-570P for remote camera control from the Base Station.
All of the input signals sent from your camera to the PS-470P are then passed to the Base Station via a SMPTE 304M hybrid optical fiber cable. The cable is also used to power the PS-470P via using 12 VDC from the Base Station. A V-Mount battery mount at the rear and 4-pin XLR input are also provided for powering the adapter. 12VDC power can be passed directly to your camera using the V-Mount terminal. To power external accessories, such as the optional Nipros LVM-89W 8.9" LCD monitor, the PS-470P also has a 12 VDC 4-pin XLR DC output.
A 6-pin Hirose monitor interface port is provided for passing power to a LVM-89W monitor, as well as accepting tally signals sent from the PS-570P to the PS-470P via a hybrid optical fiber cable, with both units providing built-in tally indicator lights. For communication from the base station operator to the camera operator, the PS-570P and PS-470P have a built-in intercom system, with each unit featuring XLR ports for connecting intercom headsets.
The PS-570P Base Station features a SMPTE 304M hybrid optical fiber connector, as well as two HD/SD-SDI outputs, an HD/SD-SDI return, time code input/output, and tally input/output. It also provides Panasonic 10-pin and LANC remote control ports. The PS-570P is packaged in a compact 1.5 RU half-rack size for easy installation, even in limited-space production areas.
Note: A SMPTE 304M hybrid optical fiber cable is required to connect the PS-470P to PS-570P.
