The OConnor Genuine Accessory Cinema Camera Bundle from B&H is a comprehensive starting point for accessorizing the most popular cinema cameras and DSLRs. Featuring items made in high quality by a company focused on quality since 1949, the bundle consists of three main components for camera rigs: the Universal Camera Baseplate, the O-Box WM Mattebox and the O-Focus Dual Mini Follow Focus Photo Set. These come together to create a reliable, professional cinematography platform.
The Universal Baseplate was designed to adapt small to medium size cameras to the thousands of standard professional accessories available in the industry. It provides a sturdy camera platform and allows optical axis centering of a camera's accessories to a lens. Two horizontal 18" 15mm rods are securely held in place by dual adjustable 15mm LWS brackets.
The O-Box WM is a two-stage mattebox built around the 16:9 format full-size sensor. O-Box is a wide-angle system, compatible with lenses up to 18mm and in some cases even wider. O-Box accepts up to three filters, accommodating two in top-loading filter frames, and a third, a 138mm round filter, in a bellows ring. The rear frame is rotatable 360°. Four frames come included: two 4 x 4s and two 4 x 5.65s. O-Box also features a flexible rubber ring that interfaces with lenses of various-sized front diameters and eliminates thus much of the need for additional hard light trap rings.
The O-Focus Dual Mini is a double-sided, direct drive follow focus that's optimized for both still and cine lenses. The gear drive of the main bridge has a gear ratio of 1:0.75 so that 360° of input (rotation of the handwheel) results in 270° of output (rotation of the drive gear) -- an industry first. O-Focus works by toothless rubber friction for native compatibility with still lenses, and it comes with toothed focus gear rings for incorporating cine lenses.
The bundle can optionally be upgraded to conveniently integrate batteries, handgrips, monitors, recorders, and other accessories, whether by OConnor or third party accessories. As it is, or after an upgrade, the bundle is compatible with the following cameras:
