The Enterprise edition of the Mercury Elite Pro Qx2 24TB (4 x 6TB) Four-Bay RAID Array from OWC / Other World Computing is a multi-interfaced RAID storage solution that consists of four Enterprise-class 6TB 3.5" Serial ATA hard disk drives in a brushed aluminum enclosure. This storage array is pre-configured in RAID 5 mode, which is designed for optimized data protection, capacity, and performance. Hardware RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10 can also be selected from the systems lockable front panel; each RAID level offers configuration options for capacity, data protection, redundancy, and speed.
In addition to offering support for RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 levels, the Mercury Elite Pro offers USB 3.0, dual FireWire 800, and an eSATA port with maximum transfer speeds of 300, 100, and 300 MB/s respectively. USB 3.0, eSATA, and FireWire 800 cables are included. This storage array is pre-formatted for Mac but can be re-formatted to work in a Windows environment. A free downloadable software suite is also available for the backup and tuning of your Mac and Windows systems.
