The black, Prosafe 1000 TSA-Accepted Combination Lock from Pacsafe is a multiple-dial padlock made of zinc alloy and plastic that features a hardened-steel shackle. The shackle of this lock is designed to fit between the shackle holes of two adjoining zipper pull tabs for a single pocket or compartment on a bag or piece of luggage. Securing two such pull tabs together prevents their sliders from being able to open the zipper chain, keeping items within the bag or luggage secure. Hard clamshell cases whose top and bottom each have aligned shackle holes that together accommodate this Prosafe 1000 TSA-Accepted Combination Lock's shackle can also benefit from the increased security it provides.
The combination for this lock can be set and changed by its owner and an internal deadbolt locking mechanism for increased tamper-resistance is built in.
When subject to the security process at an airport, it may be necessary for security agents to inspect the contents of a bag or luggage. To access the contents of a locked bag or luggage, security agents are permitted to cut or break a lock unless they are able to otherwise open it. To prevent your security from being compromised outside of a required inspection, this Prosafe 1000 TSA-Accepted Combination Lock has the ability to be opened and relocked by a legitimate Transport Security Administration (TSA), Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC), or Canadian Air Transportation Security Authority (CATSA) officer's master key.
