User manual for the Platypus GravityWorks 4L Water Filter System 3135
The user manual for the Platypus GravityWorks 4L Water Filter System 3135 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Optics - Outdoor Gear - Filtration & Purification.
Ideal for groups of people and extended outdoor trips, the GravityWorks 4L Water Filter System from Platypus is a versatile filtering kit that allows you to carry up to 8 liters of water for drinking, washing or cooking needs. Its features an external Hollow Fiber Membrane (HFM) Filter cartridge that is not only compact and easily replaceable but also meets all EPA and NSF guidelines for filtering backcountry water. This filter is effective for removing out bacterial and protozoan pathogens like Giardia, Cryptosporidium, E. coli, Salmonella and Cholera. With its flow rate of 1.85 liters per minute, you will be able produce large amounts of filtered water in minutes without actively pumping. The flow direction is printed on the filter, and the connector system is very intuitive and easy to set up. The system is supplied with all the necessary components and has one "dirty" and one "clean" reservoir. After filling the "clean" reservoir with 4 liters of filtered water, you can re-fill the "dirty" reservoir with additional 4 liters of water for filtering later and continue on your trail. Additional highlights are a wide Zip top for easy filling and cleaning, straps for hanging reservoirs, and a shut-off clamp on "clean" hose for controlling the flow. Also included is a storage sack.
