The Mongoose Remote Audio CobraNet Interface from Rane is a cost-effective solution for networked sound installations that have low channel counts. The Mongoose utilizes RAD interfaces (available for separate purchase), which fit into standard electric wall sockets making it easy to install anywhere for digital connectivity. The RADs uses inexpensive CAT5 cable for 5 channels of connectivity without the need for twisted pair cable and separate conduits. The Mongoose is controlled with the included Mongoose Tracker Software, which turns your computer (connected vie Ethernet cable) into a easy-to-setup, easy-to-configure digital mixer. The Mongoose handle 16 channels via 8 RADS and 16 more channels to two CobraNet transmit (Tx) bundles. RADS convert analog audio to or from 24-bit, 48 kHz digital audio.
