The RF-Link RJ-45 to Fiber ST Multimode Converter converts a 10Base-T or 100Base-T Ethernet signal to multimode ST optical fiber. The Ethernet input supports up to 328 ft cable distance and the fiber output supports up to 1.2 miles.
You can manually select between 10Mbps and 100Mbps Ethernet speeds and half or full duplex modes, or you can set the converter to perform the selection automatically. A built-in ASIC switching mode allows using this converter also as a 2-port switcher with a store and forward switching mechanism. The RJ-45 input supports auto crossover and uses CAT3 and CAT5 UTP cables. The fiber output supports 100Mbps speeds and uses 50/125, 62.5/125, and 100/140 µm multimode cables. Cables are sold separately. Six status LEDs are located on the front and allow easy diagnostics and troubleshooting.
This converter is compliant with IEEE 802.3 and 802.3u standards and has FCC Class B approval.
