One aspherical element is incorporated into the lens design to minimize chromatic aberrations and color fringing while also contributing to enhanced contrast and clarity in imagery.
A micro-stepping AF motor is employed to deliver near-silent AF performance that is equally quick, precise, and well-suited to video applications. iFunction control is also supported with this lens, for use with compatible Samsung NX cameras, to provide intuitive lens-based control over a variety of camera settings. iScene suggestion options are also supported, including Night, Portrait, Beauty Shot, Children, Backlight, and Sports settings.
