The mineral ash black ATIV Book 9 Plus NP940X3K-K02US 13.3" Multi-Touch Ultrabook Computer from Samsung features a 13.3" QHD+ LED-backlit display and a large 3200 x 1800 native resolution, resulting in 275 pixels per inch (ppi). The display is also a capacitive touchscreen with 10-point touch support so you'll be able to utilize all the multi-touch gestures incorporated into Windows 8.1. Since the screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, it supports 1080p Full HD content natively without upscaling. To provide more on-screen workspace, this notebook features integrated Intel HD 5500 graphics that supports a second display and connects to your external display via the micro-HDMI port or using Intel Wireless Display (WiDi).
The system is powered by a dual-core 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7-5500U processor. It also has 8GB of onboard 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM, a 256GB solid state drive, a 3-in-1 media card reader, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet (via the included dongle), 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, an integrated webcam, and dual-array microphones. There are also built-in stereo speakers with high definition audio support.
Windows 8.1 (64-bit) is the installed operating system. Windows 8.1 improves the user experience of Windows 8 with several additions and changes. The Start button returns, but has two limited core functions. A left click will simply take you to the redesigned Start screen featuring tiles that update in real-time. A right click brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel and more. You will also be able to boot directly to the traditional desktop screen instead of the Windows 8 Start screen. Windows 8.1 (64-bit) provides a unique user experience that differs from previous versions of Windows.
