The TB-LOK2 ThunderLok Thunderbolt Cable Lock (Two-Pack) from Sonnet secures Sonnet's Thunderbolt cable to the Echo Express SE I and SEL chassis.
Thunderbolt connectors are held in place by friction, which works well in situations where equipment remains undisturbed while operating. However, when there's a chance of movement nearby, there's the possibility that the Thunderbolt cable can be unintentionally unplugged, possibly leading to loss of your work or data. Sonnet's ThunderLok prevents accidental cable disconnections from the Echo chassis, by "locking" the cable securely in place.
The ThunderLok comes standard with the Thunderbolt cable included with the Echo Express SE I and SEL, with this being a replacement or spare. It's easy to install and use - by just sliding the ThunderLok over the end of the cable and then just plugging in the cable connector, securing it to the chassis, and then turning a thumbscrew.
Because of its unique design, the ThunderLok connector retaining clip does not attach to the connector, but remains on the cable so it won't get lost when not in use.
