User manual for the Sony Alpha a7 II Mirrorless Digital Camera with 28-70mm Lens

The user manual for the Sony Alpha a7 II Mirrorless Digital Camera with 28-70mm Lens provides necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Photography - Digital Cameras - Mirrorless System Cameras.

Pairing the versatile body and zoom with a grip for more handling comfort and extended shooting times, the Sony Alpha a7 II Mirrorless Digital Camera with 28-70mm Lens and Battery Grip Kit from B&H bundles the mirrorless camera and wide-to-short tele zoom with the dedicated Vertical Battery Grip. Providing a more comfortable interface for shooting in the vertical orientation, this grip is also able to hold two NP-FW50 batteries to double your battery life.

The a7 II features a full-frame 24.3MP CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor to enable high-resolution stills shooting up to 5 fps, full HD 1080p video recording in the high-bit-rate XAVC S format at up to 60 fps, and sensitivity to ISO 25600 for working in difficult lighting conditions. Sensor-shift type 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization compensates for up to 4.5 stops of camera shake with any mounted lens and a Fast Hybrid AF system employs 117 phase-detection points and 25 contrast-detection areas to provide quick and accurate focusing performance. The a7 II is also characterized by its compact form factor and durable, weather-resistant design that features a tilting 3.0" 1,228.8k-dot LCD monitor, 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, and built-in Wi-Fi with NFC.

Bundled with the a7 II in this kit is the FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS E-mount lens. This wide-to-portrait zoom incorporates three aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element into its design to minimize chromatic aberrations and enhance overall image clarity. An optical SteadyShot image stabilization system has also been added to minimize the appearance of camera shake to suit working in dim lighting and with low shutter speeds. This stabilization will work with the in-body stabilization found in the camera. It has a minimum focus distance of 11.8".
