Bundling a 4K Digital cinema camera, LCD viewfinder, installed codec upgrade board, hard case, SxS media card reader, and Catalyst Prepare pre-edit software, this kit of items is suitable for owner operators or anyone looking to start building their own F55 package. The included F55 camera features an 8.9MP Super35-sized sensor and records 4K, 2K, and HD video. It features a global shutter, which does not cause the dreaded "jello cam" or other rolling shutter artifacts.
This F55 comes with the ProRes & DNxHD codec board already installed, which is a factory installation only option, and supports internal recording to ProRes and DNxHD Codecs. The included LCD viewfinder features 960 x 540 resolution and 1,000:1 contrast ratio. An included USB 3.0 SxS card reader allows you to rapidly transfer footage from your SxS cards to your computer for storage or editing, while the Catalyst Prepare software allows you to view and organize your footage, apply non-destructive color correction, backup your footage, export files, and create a rough cut. Rounding out the bundle is the included hard case, which protects your camera and select accessories during transport and storage.
