Destroy over 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, and protozoan cysts in water using ultraviolet light with the Adventure Opti UV Water Purifier from SteriPEN. This water treatment device does not utilize any harmful chemicals, and won't change the taste, odor or color of the water. The unit is operated by two CR123A batteries for those times when you are far off the grid and need to carry your power supply with you. You may also use RCR123 rechargeable batteries if you wish. It is suitable for hikes, travel, or any situation when pure, drinkable water is not available. The UV process alone does not filter particulates, so filtering is recommended if solids are present in the water. The purifier comes with SteriPEN's Premium Lamp Life Pledge; when you reach the lamp's life limit of 8,000 treatments, SteriPEN will replace it with a new unit.
