The user manual for the Switronix Two-Battery HyperCore RED 98Wh V-Mount Kit with Dual provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Batteries & Power - On Camera Batteries.
This B&H Kit includes Two HyperCore RED V-Mount 14.8V, 98Wh, lithium-ion batteries and a Two-Position Simultaneous Charger and Power Supply, from Switronix. The HyperCore RED is designed specifically for RED cameras and communicates the exact percentage of remaining capacity to the camera's VF/LCD. The nominal run-time is 1.5 hours with the RED Epic or Scarlet.
Like the rest of the HyperCore series, the HyperCore RED is a heavy-duty battery built to withstand up to 10A draws for extended periods without diminishing service life. It features a sleep/hibernation/reawaken accelerometer, 1000 charge/discharge cycles, an over-molded and rubberized housing with ergonomic finger grips, D-Tap and USB ports, and large LCD conveniently positioned on the front. The LCD displays lifespan in hours and minutes, an estimated run-time when in stand-by mode, and charge details when charging. This battery also intelligently dictates charge routine.
The dual charger is capable of charging not only these two batteries at the same time but also batteries of different chemistries (NiCD, NiMH, lithium-ion). It also works as an AC adapter for 12 VDC equipment via a 4-pin XLR output.
