The Switronix XP-L150A features a 150Wh capacity and weighs only about 1/2 lb more than the 90Wh XP-L model. This 14.8V, lithium-ion, Gold-Mount battery has the brick-type, stocky design with ergonomic fingergrips common to Switronix batteries, and is built with protection circuits providing for safety and reliability. It supports a maximum load of 7A and offers a D-Tap port for powering 12V accessories and a USB port capable of outputting up to 3A at 5V.
This battery automatically detects the camera load and calculates run-time based on present operating conditions, and displays remaining power via a 4-LED gauge on the side. The nominal run-time is 6 hours at an estimated 25W load, so most camcorders can be powered for over 5 hours.
