User manual for the Tektronix SPG300 Sync Pulse Generator SPG300
The user manual for the Tektronix SPG300 Sync Pulse Generator SPG300 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Signal Processing & Distribution - Video & Audio Signal Generators.
The SPG300 Sync Pulse Generator from Tektronix provides synchronization and test signals for analog and digital facilities in both NTSC/525 and PAL/625 environments. The unit can be used as a stable master or slave sync signal generator.
A special "Stay GenLock" mode ensures that no loss of test signal or black outputs occurs with momentary loss of synchronization at the genlock reference input. When the genlock signal is reapplied, the feature gradually reacquires lock to minimize disruption and will not cause noticeable glitches. Genlock source can be NTSC/PAL Black Burst, NTSC/PAL Sync, or CW. When using CW lock, genlock timing can be adjusted on all the NTSC or PAL color frames.
The unit also offers (4) Black Burst output channels that can be independently timed over the full NTSC or PAL color frame range. Black Burst output channels can be configured as a Black Burst or test signal output.
Beyond various video output options, the unit also offers both analog audio and AES/EBU digital outputs. The functionality of this unit can be enhanced by adding separately available upgrades and service options, including calibrations and country-specific power supplies, among other additions. This model offers a half rack-width chassis.
