This B&H Kit includes the Thecus N5550 5 Bay Enterprise Tower NAS Server and five 4TB internal hard drives. By combining the Thecus N5550 Server with five 4TB hard drives you benefit from a large amount of storage space as well as the ability to configure your drive in a variety of formats including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD.
The Thecus N5550 Server features an Intel Atom processor designed to work without fans, thus reducing the server's noise and power consumption. The 2GB of on-board DDR3 RAM also assists in the multi-tasking capabilities of the Thecus N5550 Server. Once the server is configured, you benefit from multi-user environments, web hosting, intense data backup and encryption, application serving, heavy RAID computations, and HD multimedia streaming.
