The N4510U PRO-R 4-Bay Rackmount NAS Server from Thecus is an advanced high-capacity NAS storage solution designed for use in business and enterprise environments. Built with a 1RU rackmount form factor and two 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet ports, the N4510U PRO-R is compatible with Windows, Mac, Unix, and Linux.
Inside the N4510U PRO-R you will find four SATA III drive bays that can house both 3.5" or 2.5" hard drives or SSD drives. These drives can be configured for nearly any storage need as this NAS server is compatible with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, and JBOD. In addition to the wide variety of RAID configurations, you can also take advantage of auto-rebuild, hot-swap support, hot spare support, RAID expansion, and much more.
The N4510U PRO-R is powered by a 2.13 GHz Intel Atom D2701 Dual-Core processor, which will allow you to run multiple functions simultaneously. Aside from the processor, the built-in 2GB of DDR3 RAM will allow quick access to frequently-used files and programs. Ports include one HDMI port, one VGA port, four USB 2.0 ports, and two USB 3.0 ports. Should power to the server be interrupted, the N4510U PRO-R comes equipped with a 250W redundant power supply complete with a battery backed-up system clock, adjustable frequency alarm, and auto power on after shutdown due to power loss feature.
Once configured, the N4510U PRO-R offers a variety of enhanced end user features. With 256-bit AES RAID volume encryption you can fully encrypt RAID volumes. You can also sync data to other NAS devices and servers by using Data Guard for added data protection. iSCSI support and link aggregation functionality allow for data redundancy across multiple servers should one of the links fail. The N4510U PRO-R can even be synced with a variety of cloud services including DropBox, Amazon S3, and ElephantDrive for yet another means of securing and backing up your data.
Additionally, to help protect data and backup needs for enterprises, Thecus provides free copies of Acronis True Image and McAfee Antivirus. McAfree's scanning algorithms help detect viral threats, while Acronis offers a wide range of features which includes hard drive replication and restore, VSS support, backing up to multiple destinations, and cloud backups.
The N4510U PRO-R includes an Accessory Bag with key, an Ethernet cable, a power cord, a DVD with Acronis True Image, McAfee Antivirus, a Universal CD, QIG, Fixed Shelves, and an HDD Compatibility List.
