VSM-3 from Vertigo is a Brainworx-developed plug-in emulation of the coveted Vertigo VSM-2 Mix Satellite harmonic generator. Essentially a mixing and mastering tool, the plug-in faithfully reproduces the hardware's harmonic generation, while adding features not found on the original hardware, like the THD Mixer's dry/wet control, and the ability to run the Crusher and Blender in parallel or serially, or solo them separately or together.
For the mixing engineer, the plug-in can add character and emphasis to individual mono, stereo and multi-channel tracks and busses while the M/S functionality opens up expanded possibilities for treating stereo signals. For the mastering engineer, the software provides all the unique saturation power of the VSM-2 in an economical and convenient multi-platform plug-in.
