The Bluegrass Series M3SWE from Washburn is a Florentine-style mandolin based on the company's M3SW model, but with an added pickup and active electronics, making it an ideal instrument for live performance. The M3SWE's body is constructed with` a carved solid spruce top with solid maple back and sides, and has quarter-sawn Sitka spruce bracing. The neck has a scale length of 13.8" and is also made of maple. The fingerboard is rosewood and has snowflake inlays and a 28mm ABS nut. Additionally, a set of gold die-cast tuners with pearloid buttons keep the instrument in tune.
