Store up to 13 full-length feature films over a capacity of 1TB using the black 1TB My Passport Cinema 4K UHD Movie Storage USB 3.0 Hard Drive from WD. This portable USB 3.0 hard drive is compatible with the Vidity-enabled 4K Ultra HD TVs and devices and connects to the device's USB port. It comes pre-loaded with Hollywood titles in 4K Ultra HD and there are also some titles with HDR technology, which helps provide the picture quality with increased dynamic range. Since all the content is stored on the drive, there is no buffering, image stuttering, or quality changes that are associated with streaming content.
While this drive does come pre-loaded with 4K Ultra HD content, please bear in mind that a movie access code must be purchased from M-GO or another Vidity retailer before any content may be enjoyed. However, users will receive two free movies with their purchase of a Samsung JS9000 or above model. In addition to the JS9000, this drive is currently compatible with Samsung HU, JU, and JD series 4K UHD and 4K SUHD TVs. As the list of compatible systems will continue to grow, please check the complete list with WD. Lastly, the total number of movies that the drive is able to store depends on the bit rate, resolution, and frames per second.
Included with the black 1TB My Passport Cinema is a 32" USB 3.0 cable. The drive is compatible with USB 3.0 at speeds up to 5 Gb/s and USB 2.0 at speeds up to 480 Mb/s. It is also protected by a limited 1-year warranty.
