AF (Advanced Format) offers increased areal densities, allowing the 3.5" SATA drive to store photos, music, and videos. Defined by its Green Power technology, the 500GB power-saving hard drive keeps the system cool during operation, protecting the drive and the data from excess heat. In addition, the ultra-cool feature eliminates the need for a fan in external drives. Built-in IntelliPower technology maintains proper balance of spin speed, transfer rate, and caching algorithms, thereby offering reduced power consumption and solid performance. IntelliSeek function calculates optimum seek speeds to minimize power consumption, noise, and vibration.
