User manual for the XFX Force Radeon R9 270X Graphics Card (1100 MHz) R9270XCDBC
The user manual for the XFX Force Radeon R9 270X Graphics Card (1100 MHz) R9270XCDBC provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Computers & Solutions - Computer Components - Graphic Display Cards.
The Radeon R9 270X Graphics Card from XFX Force is a general-purpose graphics cards with drivers for Windows computers. In addition to driving displays, the software for this card supports a wide range of APIs, including DirectX 11.2, OpenCL 1.2, and OpenGL 4.3, exposing the parallel processing power of this card to video and photo editing applications, media players, video games, and a host of other applications that are able to take advantage of GPU acceleration.
At the heart of the card is a 1100 MHz GPU. It features 1280 stream processors, which not only act as general purpose shaders for rendering display graphics, they also allow software that supports parallel processing to perform hundreds of simple calculations at once. To facilitate that transfer of data to and from the GPU, the card features 2GB of 1450 MHz GDDR5 RAM over a 256-bit memory interface. Because GDDR5 RAM moves data at four words per cycle, this card has an effective memory clock of 5800 MHz.
The Radeon R9 270X features an HDMI port with HDMI 1.4a support, a DVI-I dual-link port (digital or analogue), a DVI-D single-link port (digital only), and two Mini DisplayPort ports with DP 1.2 support. Through HDMI or Mini DisplayPort, it can drive up to 4K (4,096 x 2,160) resolution displays at 30 Hz, and through DVI can drive displays up to 2560 x 1600 resolution at 60 Hz. It supports active and passive 3D, as well as 7.1-channel surround audio, and can output audio to multiple devices at once. Up to four displays can be connected to the card at a time; meanwhile a total of six displays can be used via Mini DisplayPort with a Mini DisplayPort hub, MST hubs, or displays with daisy chaining capability are employed.
Of note for video users, the card incorporates hardware H.264 video encoding, greatly reducing transcoding times compared to software-only encoding. For increased performance, up to two GPUs can be installed in one system using the CrossFire Bridge.
