User manual for the Axler Nimbus Dual-Axis Mechanical Stabilizer NBS-2X
The user manual for the Axler Nimbus Dual-Axis Mechanical Stabilizer NBS-2X provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Tripods, Supports & Rigs - Stabilizer Systems.
The Nimbus Dual-Axis Mechanical Stabilizer from Axler provides smooth, stable handheld footage for cameras weighing up to 11 pounds. It utilizes dual gimbal handles that help isolate your camera from unwanted bumps and shakes while providing enhanced camera movement control. Additionally, you can adjust camera tilt with your thumbs without changing your grip on the handles, letting you create dynamic crane- and jib-style shots. Unlike many other stabilizing systems, the Nimbus doesn't require any counterweights, motors, or batteries for balancing. Instead, it uses the weight of your camera for stability, reducing the overall weight of the system. The reduced weight and two-handed design of the stabilizer means less strain on your arms, letting you shoot for longer periods of time.
A cheeseplate with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads provides multiple points for mounting your camera. A 1/4"-20 camera screw and 3/8"-16 bushing are included and can be conveniently stored in one of the threaded accessory holes found on the rig. Balancing the system is made easy thanks to a fine-tuning knob behind the cheeseplate that moves it forward or backward, and a knob on the top of the rig that adjusts the vertical position of the camera. For ideal balance, you want the rig's center of balance along the pivot axis between the two gimbals. Once balanced, you can pan, tilt, and move the stabilizer around the scene, all while recording steady, elegant-looking footage.
