With exposed tactical P5 elevation turrets that are optimized for .223 calibers, the matte black Mark AR MOD 1 4-12x40 Riflescope from Leupold is designed for medium-to-long range shooting and features a Mil Dot Reticle. The optical system offers 4.5-11.5x actual magnification, Multicoat 4 anti-glare coatings that reduce glare and enhance transmission, and a linear field of view range of 20.4-9.7' at 100 yd. To further reduce glare and improve image sharpness, the lenses have their edges blackened. You don't have to worry about scratching the objective while you move through thick woods or bushes, the DiamondCoat anti-scratch coating will protect the surface from accidental damage. To help you compensate for wind drift and ballistic bullet drop, the scope offers a 67 MOA windage and elevation adjustment range with a 1/10 mil impact point correction.
The Mil Dot Reticle is useful for estimating ranges to target and features think posts, wide gate, and hash marks spaced at 1 mil increments on a thin crosshair. Because of its location in the second focal plane, the reticle will remain the same in size as you change zoom factor.
The aluminum housing is lightweight and durable, waterproof, and argon-krypton-filled fogproof. It is compatible with 1" riflescope mounting rings and offers a lockable fast focus eyepiece with a low profile tactile zoom lever, which help you with an instant one-finger zoom adjustment. It also offers a focusing ring on the objective bell to adjust the parallax distance.
