The user manual for the Motorola Talkabout MT350R - Weather-Resistant 2-Way MT-350R provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Location Sound - 2-Way Radios.
The Motorola Talkabout MT350R - Weather-Resistant 2-Way Radio (Pair) provides a durable way to communicate during outdoor activities such as camping, hunting, hiking, and more. The radios are built to be weather resistant, they carry an IP-54 (International Protection Code) rating, which means they're designated as dustproof and splashproof from any direction. An FCC license is required to operate the radios within the USA.
You get 22 channels to choose from, and 11 weather channels. Use the latter to monitor your local weather conditions, or choose to receive emergency weather alerts. The radios also feature their own Emergency Alert function, which sends an emergency tone to the other radio (or radios) in your group, and after 8 seconds leaves indefinitely transmits from your radio.
If you need to increase transmission range, use the Push-to-Talk High button, which provides a temporary power boost. When no boost is needed, use the Push-to-Talk Low button, which uses less power and saves battery life. Each radio is powered by either three AA alkaline batteries or a rechargeable NiMH battery pack (included). You get up to 15 hours of battery life with the AAs, and 10 with the battery pack.
The built-in iVOX feature lets you talk on the radio hands free. When it's on, you can hear incoming messages and your voice triggers transmission. If you purchase a compatible headset (optional), you can use the VOX feature, which allows for hands free communication with an accessory attached. An FCC operating license is required.
