The enclosure features a TTL 5-pin connector for optional external strobes. Mechanical controls allow easy access to virtually all camera functions, including on / off, shutter, exposure meter reading button, exposure compensation button, aperture / flash compensation, mode selection ring, delete, play, menu, white balance / info, help, photo protection button, ISO button, reduction in reproduction, magnification in reproduction / quality setting button, multi-selector, OK button, info, main control ring, and recording. Ergonomic side grip handles afford comfort and stability while maintaining access to controls.
The housing includes a lens port with zoom control for the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens, and accepts optional interchangeable ports for a broad array of wide-angle, fisheye, macro, and zoom lenses. For compatibility, see Port Chart. Made of durable polycarbonate, the housing is clear to enable you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. An integrated moisture alarm alerts you in the unlikely event of a breach in the waterproof seal. The stainless steel fasteners with safety catch clips help ensure a secure closure. Additionally, the housing is equipped with an optical viewfinder with 1.5x magnification. It also includes a galvanized key for regulating control levers, an Allen key for fastening handles, a toothed lens zoom ring, and an insert for mounting the camera.
