The UV process alone does not filter particulates, so filtering is recommended if solids are present in the water. The purifier comes with SteriPEN's Premium Lamp Life Pledge; when you reach the lamp's lifespan of 8,000 treatments, SteriPEN will replace it with a new unit.

The cover for the USB port almost immediately came off the Steripen Ultra, together with the little plug attached. How do I reattach this plug so that the cover will stay on ?
